Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When should I use a massage gun?
A: The best times to use a massage gun is before and after your workouts. I also use it after my morning yoga and sometimes in the office when I sit for long hours.
Q: Is this good for prenatal massage?
A: These massage guns work off percussion, would not recommend at all!
Q: How often should I use TheraGun?
A: Depending on the desired result, we recommend using your Theragun for a minimum of 15 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes per muscle group. A full-body session should not exceed 15 minutes. Treat yourself 2-3 times per day.
Q: Should I advise a doctor before placing an order?
A: Most of my friends and the people I know never advised their doctor, but if you have concerns, please do. It doesn't worth the risk, especially if you're recovering from an injury.
Q: How many pounds of pressure does it exert?
A: It vibrates/moves up and down, maybe a half-inch? But pressure depends on the operator on how hard or soft you put the gun into our muscle. I would just say that it is pretty powerful.
Q: What's a stall force means?
A: Basically, that's the most important feature in the massage gun. It means how powerful it is, the higher the better.
Q: How you decided the noise-free score?
A: First I bought one of those decibel meters on Amazon but now I realized that my iPhone's app provides the same results.
Q: Can I travel with the massage guns?
A: Your massage gun just might be the best possible travel companion. While you are able to travel with your Theragun device and accessories in your carry-on luggage, it is at the discretion of the TSA officer to allow it through. Also, please be mindful of your fellow passengers. If you have an older massage device such as the Theragun G2pro or the TimTam Power Massager V1.5, the noise might drive everyone nuts in confined quarters!
Q: Does this help with sciatica
A: Many users report it does yes, though we recommend you talk with your care provider so you can make an informed decision.
Q: How would I use this on my upper back without somebody helping me?
A: The middle and upper back are always going to be the toughest places to reach for self-therapy. Best to extend the articulating head and reach over or around your shoulders if no one else available to reach some of these places.
